Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Certification

The Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) program was established by the Small Business Administration (SBA) to help small businesses in both urban and rural communities. HUBZones are areas of the country that have been underutilized for federal contracting. Benefits for HUBZone-certified companies include:

The government limits competition for certain federal contracts to businesses in HUBZones. Obtaining HUBZone certification makes your business eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts and a 10 percent price evaluation preference in open contract competitions.
